See all of Kylie Jenner’s tattoos and their meanings
Kylie Jenner may only be 22, but she’s already racked up quite the collection of tiny tattoos.
The beauty mogul recently had daughter Stormi Webster’s time of birth tattooed on the inside of her forearm, the latest addition in her string of family-themed ink.
In total, the reality star has eight tiny tattoos, including two matching Stormi’s dad Travis Scott and one for ex-boyfriend Tyga, which she had reworked when they broke up.
Below, see all of Kylie Jenner’s tattoos and their meanings.
-
"4:43"
The time of Stormi's birth
Kylie Jenner inadvertently showed off a tattoo of the numbers “4:43” on the inside of her forearm on Instagram in July 2020. It represents the time that her daughter Stormi Webster was born on February 1, 2018.

"Stormi"
Her daughter's name
Kylie hired celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy to do live sessions at Travis Scott’s 28th birthday party in 2019. Not only did the star tattoo her daughter’s name on the back of her arm, but she also helped ink the exact same design on Scott and BFF Stassie Karanikolaou.
-
"M"
A design to match her former BFF's
Though neither of them explained the meaning, Jenner and then-best friend Jordyn Woods showed off their matching pinky tattoos in 2016. It’s unclear if either has since removed the ink, following Woods’ and Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal in 2019.
-
"T" and "LA"
A tribute to ex Tyga, since removed
In 2016, Kylie honored then-boyfriend Tyga with a tiny lowercase “t” on the inside of her ankle. A year after the pair broke up, she had it transformed into a lowercase “la” in an ode to her hometown.

Butterfly
Inspired by Travis Scott's music
Before Kylie announced that she was pregnant with Stormi, she and Scott sealed their love with matching butterfly tattoos. Though Jenner never explained the ink, it’s likely inspired by Travis Scott’s hit song “Butterfly Effect.” The insect has become somewhat of a go-to motif for Stormi; her nursery is decorated with tons of butterfly art, and the mom-and-daughter duo dressed up as matching butterflies for Halloween in 2019.
-
"Mary Jo"
Her grandmother's name
Another red ink tattoo, Kylie paid tribute to her maternal grandmother, Mary Jo, by adding her name in her grandfather’s handwriting just above her left elbow.
-
"Sanity"
The phonetic spelling
Kylie’s second and largest tattoo, which she got in 2015, features the phonetic spelling of the word “sanity.” At the time, she said that it was a reminder to keep her internal peace. “There was a time when I got [that tattoo] that I felt a little bit like I was going insane. Or, I was going to,” she told V magazine of the ink. “A lot of young stars who grow up in the spotlight have a really hard time. I didn’t want that to be me.”
She has since added the word “Before” to the hip tattoo.

Red heart
Kylie got this simple and sweet design to celebrate her 18th birthday in August 2015.
