Are Oprah’s ‘favorite’ Cozy Earth bamboo sheets really the ‘softest ever’? Our review of the brand
Oprah’s love for this cooling fabric has hardly cooled off over the years.
The media mogul’s featured Cozy Earth’s bamboo-based products on not one, but five of her “Favorite Things” lists over the years, spotlighting standouts ranging from the Jogger Pants ($165 $132) to the Long Sleeve Pajamas ($195 $156).
But her obsession with the brand all started back in 2018, when its biggest bestseller — the Bamboo Sheet Set ($339 $271) — first caught her eye.
“This bamboo-sourced set — including sheets and a duvet cover — is the softest ever,” she raved of the breathable bedding bundle at the time.
As someone who struggles with getting a good night’s sleep, I had to know if the luxe bedding was worth the hype — so I tried out the same set to see if they’d become my new favorite thing, too.
All about Cozy Earth’s bamboo sheets
As Oprah noted in her rave review, the bamboo-based sheets are designed to feel silky smooth — and per the brand, they only get softer with each wash.
Beyond texture, Cozy Earth also claims its fibers, yarns and weaves yield fabric that’s “at the ideal temperature.”
Shoppers are just as obsessed as Oprah, and the set boasts an average 4.9-star rating from over 7,200 customers, 92% of whom said they would recommend the set.
“Love the feel & comfort … best bamboo sheets on the market!” one raved, while another wrote the sheets are “so comfortable and keep me cool all night.”
Packaged in a cute reusable tote, the bedding bundle comes in 14 shades — ranging from pale blue to classic white — and in sizes ranging from twin/twin XL to California king.
Our review
Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set
Pros:
- Silky-smooth feel
- Doesn’t pill after repeated washing
- Breathable and cool, even on hot nights
Cons:
- More expensive than traditional alternatives
- While not an issue with the white sheets, a staffer who tried a darker color noted they showed stains from skin oils, sweat, etc.
I immediately loved the silky-smooth texture of these sheets — and after sleeping on them for several months, I can attest that they did in fact only get softer over time.
Perhaps more importantly, though, the breathable bamboo knit has kept me from overheating on hot nights (something traditional cotton bedding has never accomplished, in my experience).
While I historically haven’t splurged as much in the bedding department, this luxe-feeling fabric has me questioning how I ever lived without it.

Bamboo Long Sleeve Pajamas
Pros:
- Luxurious, silky-smooth feel
- Elegant piped design
- Makes for a great gift
Cons:
- Steep price tag
Like its sheets, Cozy Earth’s pajamas are made from bamboo-based viscose that’s designed to stay “degrees cooler than cotton.”
And the luxe loungewear’s certainly cool in more ways than one; years after it scored a spot on Oprah’s “Favorite Things” list in 2019, Kris Jenner treated her entire family to custom sets.
After putting the PJs to the test for several months, I can see why moguls and momagers are drawn to them. While the price tag is certainly high, the pajamas feel soft as silk and — in my experience — live up to their cooling claims.
Like Jenner, I was even inspired to treat loved ones to the same super-soft set; I splurged on a pair for my mom this Mother’s Day, and they’ve quickly become a favorite of her’s, too.
Plus, while the elegant piped design bears resemblance to Eberjey’s similarly celebrity-loved sets, if you keep an eye out for sales you could likely score Cozy Earth’s for less.
Plush Lounge Socks
Pros:
- Helped me prevent blisters
- Super cozy
Cons:
- At $18 a pair, they’re not very budget-friendly
These socks practically knocked Oprah’s socks off in 2021, when she likened them to “walking on clouds.”
Having worn them all winter, I’m equally impressed; they’re the only socks soft enough to prevent blisters from the Dr. Martens boots I’m somehow still breaking in, and they feel just as cozy as a slipper sock.
That said, at around $18 per pair, they’re not the cheapest socks on the block.
The final verdict
While Cozy Earth’s price tags are steep, I can (literally) rest easy knowing these splurge-worthy styles have helped me sleep more comfortably. If you’re looking for bedding or loungewear that goes beyond basics, Cozy Earth is well worth your shopping dollars. I can see why Oprah has a soft spot for these super-soft buys.
