Fenty Hair just dropped a fragrance mist, and it smells ‘like a hug from Rihanna herself’

While she might not be releasing new music soon, Rihanna is hard at work, work, work on her Fenty brand portfolio.
Years after first entering the fragrance space with her beloved Fenty Eau de Parfum, the Bad Gal’s giving her Fenty Hair line a scent to match: the brand-new Mista Hair + Body Fragrance Mist.
Featuring the same notes of warm florals, amber, yuzu, coconut, vanilla and sandalwood as Fenty’s haircare line, the refreshing blend came highly requested, per the brand.

Given several of our editors love the hair line, we were eager to give the fresh fragrance a try. Read on for our full thoughts.
Our review

“I really like this. It’s warm, rich and kind of smells like a hug from Rihanna herself — or what I imagine one of those would smell like, anyway. Often, I find that you get what you pay for with hair and body mists in that the fragrance dissipates pretty quickly, but this lingered throughout the whole day, which I appreciated. It definitely delivers in terms of bang for your buck, and performs more like a true perfume than a mist.” — Elana Fishman, Page Six Style & Shopping Director
“This smells really good. Like if I sprayed it, I just know that a few men are gonna look.” — Nadine Bourne, New York Post Associate Digital Production Editor
“I feel like this would be a good thing to top off your slicked-back [hairstyle].” — Brooke Matalon, Page Six Social Media Marketing Manager
“It smells like a really luxe shampoo — which makes sense, given it’s basically Fenty’s hair products in mist form. I’m not a big floral girl personally, but I can see how it would make a nice clean fragrance for someone who loves sweeter scents.” — Hannah Southwick, Page Six Associate Commerce Editor
“It’s definitely fresh and beachy. I think it’s not overpowering. It’s not overly coconutty like you tend to get with a beachy-type fragrance, but it’s still nice and fresh and clean.” — Meaghan Roche, New York Post Senior SEO Commerce Manager
“It’s very fresh, it’s very clean. It’s definitely beachy if you like sunscreen-y, coconut kind of scents.” — Ally D’Aluisio, Page Six Managing Editor
“I love how warm and clean the mist smells and the spray feels so lightweight.” — Michelle Moezam, Sr. Commerce Social Media Marketing Manager
