Jennifer Lawrence’s marriage quotes give clues about Cooke Maroney wedding
It’s only been two days since Page Six broke the news that Jennifer Lawrence got engaged to Cooke Maroney, but wedding plans may already be underway.
In 2015, Lawrence, 28, told Vogue she “can’t wait to be married,” and the “Red Sparrow” star has dropped major hints throughout the years about what her wedding will be like.
Maroney, a 34-year-old New York-based art gallerist, is known for keeping a low profile, so the couple could opt for a small affair. Here are some past musings that could give insight into what the bride-to-be envisions for her big day.

1. She likely won't have bridesmaids
In 2016, Lawrence — who was 26 at the time — told Vanity Fair that all of her close friends were “getting married and having babies.” As a result, she had been a bridesmaid at least four times, and vowed to never put her friends through that drama on her own wedding day.
“There needs to be a bridesmaids’ union. It’s horrendous,” she told the mag. “If anyone asks me again, I’m going to say, ‘No. That part of my life is over. I appreciate the ask.’ If I do ever get married, I don’t think I will have bridesmaids. How can I rank my friends?”

2. She will probably get emotional during the ceremony
Lawrence attended Hollywood BFF Amy Schumer’s wedding to chef Chris Fischer in February 2018, and after the nuptials, the “Hunger Games” star said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she cried during the ceremony.
“I was sobbing the whole — his vows were stunning,” Lawrence said. “It’s when two people really love each other and they really mean it, it shows, and it was a beautiful ceremony and an amazing time.”
If Lawrence cried at Schumer’s wedding, there’s probably a good chance she’ll shed some tears at her own.

3. She likely won't have a beach wedding
Schumer opted for a beachside wedding in Malibu, but Lawrence doesn’t appear to be as big of a fan of fancy gatherings where sand is involved. Lawrence told Entertainment Tonight that while some guests at Schumer’s wedding wanted to go for a dip, she took a hard pass on going near the ocean.
“A couple people wanted to go down and walk on the beach and I was like, ‘No. I don’t get the beach. I just don’t care,'” Lawrence said.

4. She may opt for a bohemian wedding dress
Lawrence has not disclosed what kind of dress she will wear on her big day, but her outfit choice at the 2017 “Faces Places” movie premiere may have provided a clue.
At the red-carpet event, the actress wore a white L. Wells Bridal gown with a plunging neckline and lace flutter sleeves — the bohemian “Alice Dress” from the brand’s 2018 collection.
“I was thrilled to see Jennifer wear my dress on the red carpet,” designer Lauren Wells told The Knot at the time. “She embodies the exact adventurous yet elegant style I’m going for with my designs.”
The dress retails for $2,300.

5. Her brother and sister-in-law will be very involved
In 2014, Lawrence was part of the bridal party for her brother Blaine Lawrence’s wedding to Carson Massler. Lawrence was one of 10 bridesmaids, and the nuptials were featured in a special issue of Martha Stewart Real Weddings.
Massler told the magazine she chose ivory dresses for Lawrence and the rest of her bridal group to keep “the day’s colors as understated as possible because we wanted the natural beauty of the land to stand out.”

6. She may get married in her home state of Kentucky
Lawrence’s brother chose to wed his bride at Hermitage Farm, a venue in Oldham County, Kentucky, according to Martha Stewart Real Weddings. Lawrence was born and raised on a farm in the Southern state, so she may return home for a more private gathering and to make it easier for her family to attend her big day.
