Ed Sheeran isn’t married after all

Ed Sheeran isn’t a married man just yet.

While the 27-year-old singer has been spotted wearing a silver ring, he told a British talk show at the 2018 BRIT Awards on Wednesday that he and Cherry Seaborn, 25, haven’t exchanged vows yet.

“I never saw why men didn’t wear engagement rings. It’s the same commitment either way,” he told “Lorraine”(via Entertainment Weekly). “Cherry made it for me herself out of silver clay. I really like it.”

Sheeran revealed that he proposed to Seaborn late last year. “Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx,” he wrote on Instagram in January.

The “Shape of You” singer met Seaborn when they were in elementary school together, but lost touch and reconnected at Taylor Swift’s Fourth of July party in 2015.

He has already expressed his desire to have “little fat, chubby babies that just walk around” with Seaborn, saying that he will have “zero” motivation to continue his career after they start a family.
